We can deliver the day prior to the start of work, so that the crew can make full use of your rental on their first day of work. 

Now that the schedule is done, the next priority is the placement. You should place your portable toilet rental within 25 feet of the street so it will be accessible to our crews for your regularly scheduled cleanings. If the placement spot is regularly blocked by cars, equipment or garbage cans, it may prevent us from cleaning the unit! It also must be placed as level as possible to prevent tips and spills, especially with the wind in San Francisco. What is included in a service?

All of our portable restroom rentals in San Francisco include a weekly cleaning. After the unit is delivered, you will be assigned a cleaning day based on the location and restrictions of your job. When the driver arrives for your service, he will use his vacuum truck to pump the waste tank empty. Any trash will also be removed from the unit. The high touch areas, toilet seat, urinal and floor will be sprayed with a hospital grade disinfectant and deodorizer. Our driver will restock the paper products included in your rental. This includes three rolls of two-ply recycled toilet paper, toilet seat covers and paper towels, if applicable. If you have a unit with an interior sink, the fresh water will also be recharged. 

 

Cleanliness and odor control are our top priority. Once the tank is ready for recharge, five to seven gallons of fresh water will be added to the tank, along with a deodorizing tablet. This environmentally friendly, non-toxic tablet turns the water a deep blue color and provides odor control. It also helps to break down the bacteria in the waste we collect so that it is easier for wastewater treatment plants to process. These tablets are high strength and are made to last a seven days in between each cleaning. Since we only use 5-7 gallons per service, our portable toilets help in the efforts to save water. The standard residential toilet uses 1.6 gallons of water per flush. One service can accommodate up to ten employees for a forty hour work week.

Bay Area Sanitation does not deliver on the weekends, so event units are delivered the Friday before the event and picked up the following Monday.
